Review process

Draft articles are checked by a second editor for factual consistency, including cross-referencing distances and elevation gain against agency-published figures, before they go live. Gear reviews require the reviewer to have used the item on at least one multi-hour outing prior to publication.

Corrections

When a reader or a follow-up visit reveals that a trail description, closure status, or gear detail is outdated or incorrect, we update the article promptly and note the change with a visible correction line at the bottom of the piece.
