Questions about this service
Why does solid wood change shape if it is not dried properly?
Wood acts like a sponge: when the air is humid it absorbs moisture, and when you turn on the heat in winter it dries out and shrinks. That is why we only use kiln-dried boards dried to 8 to 10 percent moisture content.
How do you clean a table finished with natural oil?
A soft cloth wrung out in lukewarm water with a few drops of mild soap is enough. There is no need for harsh chemicals that can dissolve the protective oil layer.
Can the table be disassembled if we move?
Yes. The legs are fastened with machine screws into threaded inserts in the wood, so you can unscrew and reassemble them multiple times without damage.
